Event Description

I heard about this event from a fellow tea party member in another state, so we have to make this go viral quick! We got some time, here is some info I included about the event :)

October 17th, 2009 could be a great day in American history. The so-called "media" is complicit with big government and the party in power. Politicians USED to be afraid of the media - no longer! Now, the "media" is the mouthpiece of the government!

How do you get started? Well, use meet-up, twitter, facebook, your local tea party group, 9/12 group, etc. etc. etc. to hook up with fellow patriots. Unless you live close to a national media outlet, plan a Tea Party to be held on your nearest LOCAL MEDIA affiliate. In your town, pick the least "fair and balanced" outlet and go there! If there are enough of you, go to multiple local outlets! We don't just want to target National Media - the local affiliates are just as complicit! Imagine hundreds and thousands, maybe MILLIONS of freedom-loving, tax-paying Americans "surrounding" the media all around the country!

We don't need an individual "figurehead" or "community organizer" to make this day a success. You all are leaders and patriots in your own right. This is grass roots all the way!

May October 17th be a day we let the media never forget - a day when we marched to their front door and called them the "traitors" to the Republic they are. So much for "watchdogs" - they're "lapdogs of the left." Their silence is their consent...

Well America, let's see who's "bark" is louder...

The link to Google Maps here is incorrect. KSEE 24 is on EAST McKinley (near the airport).

I like the Idea of saying hello to all the local channels. My first thought with drive time and reassembly we may not be that effective with very short visits to each station on short notice. We would seem more like a fly on the back of a very big dog. By keeping it simple and a larger gathering we are a little more visible and embedded like a tick and can't be so easily brushed off. Just my thought folks tell me what you think.

Well folks I'll be there with bells on, 20 years ago it would have been big bells.

Won't be able to make it after all. Took our son to doctor today--Swine Flu--It's going around here "big time" in Tulare County.

Its almost here everyone! has anyone got their signs made yet? I will be working on mine this week ;) Note: The main site of OCYHUN still shows the Fox location being a place of protest. I have contacted them, they haven't updated it so just a thought: if anyone sees protesters at that location please direct them to the KSEE site. Thanks guys, and have a great week!

It always seems to happen; Thanks to having to take a class for our State license, I will likely miss most or all of this Action. Be assured that I will be with you all in spirit, and will join you along the way if at all possible.

UP THE VOLTAGE!

I like the idea of focusing on 24's national affiliates NBC and MSNBC rather than on 26 since FOX is the only network that has really been supporting our efforts. Even though the local stations are owned by different companies I think the correlation is easier to make.
