- Why did you get involved in the Tea Party movement.
- I am tired of my elected officials not representing me anymore!
I believe that our founding fathers new the tyranny of a government run by a monarchy produces. A monarchy of a few people who think they know better, and think they are a class above the common people. This Monarchy is out of touch with the struggles of common life and cannot govern in the best interests of the people.
So they formed a new kind of government that was run by the common people. These common people represented the interests of their community from which they came. They are to vote in the behalf of the people who elected them. Fully knowing that they would be harassed, and lose the next election if they did not vote the will of the people they represented. They hoped these representatives would be upstanding people in there community. They would be businessmen who could afford to take some time off to serve their communities interests, as their pay as a representative, was not enough to live on. The congress was to meet once a year for the State of the Union Address take care of any business and go home. They had to go home to run their businesses or go broke.
Now we have representatives that think they know better than their constituents and that they are a class above us. They have created their own monarchy. Vote in laws that gives them pay, and lifetime benefits that separate them from the common people. They have a separate health care system from the common people. They feel they are more enlightened than us. They like the power and the control they have and it is like a drug they cannot break the habit from.
The Federal Government was given limited powers for a reason. It's primary function was to represent the States as one voice for foreign affairs, treaties, and trade to provide a postal service and common currency. It also had the responsibility to form a common army to protect the states from foreign enemies. The states were given all the other rights to govern inside there borders as their people saw fit.
Are states have given up their rights with blackmail money. By accepting money from the Federal Government for roads, public education, public works projects, (dams, infrastructure projects), they have given up their rights and control.
The local school boards no longer have control what is taught in the schools as they have accepted the blackmail money from the state and the Federal Government.
We have to remove the Monarchy in Washinton D.C. and in our state legislature. Find and back common people with our interests to represent us in our government. And because power corrupts and being away from thier home makes them out of touch, these representatives should only serve a couple of terms, then leave.
The states need to gain their sovereignty back and refuse Federal Funds.
