Why did you get involved in the Tea Party movement.
I wish to pay fewer taxes and have less federal government in size and control. Although I'm a public school teacher I think the Federal Government should eliminate the Department of Education.
I was a classified employee before I was a certificated employee with FCOE. Does anyone remember the Carter years? I was a custodian, or as I like to call it, a high priced janitor and bus driver back then. The CETA program (Comprehensive Employment and Training Act) was the Carter Administration's attempt to lower the high 7.5% unemployment rate. I lost my custodial job to a CETA employee. If I remember correctly most of the CETA workers were unemployed after the funds ran out. Well, I guess I could have complained a lot but life went on. What I could not understand is why I could find a job and this person could not, without government assistance. I was young, had more than one job, and I also helped my father on our small farm. I've never been unemployed. Yes I held some minimum wage jobs but I didn't plan on staying there. I've never heard if President Obama ever flipped burgers or delivered pizzas (I delivered pizza for Dominos Pizza).

Obama quotes

On February 2, 2009 a very articulate Barack Husein Obama said, “I will be held accountable….If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition”.

Senator Borack Hussein Obama 2006:

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.” That year Senator Barack Hussein Obama voted against raising the debt limit. In 2007 and 2008 he did not bother to vote.

Along with President Obama others should lose their seats in the Senate or House of Representatives

I look, from time to time, at web sites of our elected officials or government agencies. I visited Rep. Dennis Cardoza's site some time ago, after the stimulus was enacted, and he claimed the stimulus was a great help to his district, not only for the sidewalk built in Merced thanks to stimulus funds but especially for funding to the Golden Valley Health Center in Merced. The following is part of the text for that web page, a page we as tax payers pay for. The text is as…

Who is Black Dog

Recently it was reported by the free press of our country that presidential candidate Perry may have made a racially (in)sensitive comment referring to a "black cloud" hanging over the country (I paraphrase). Today while watching a news report about where the President will be vacationing (Martha's Vineyard) I saw a sign hanging over the sidewalk of an establishment, it read, The Black Dog. It made me wonder if the President has ever visited this establishment, and who else visits this…

Hugo Morales, you want change and things to stay the same, make up your mind!

I wrote a letter to the Fresno Bee in response to a column written by Hugo Morales (7/30/11). It seems he was among a group of people who hand out grants and wrote about his tour of the valley.

Part of his letter states, "From philanthropy, to nonprofits, to the public and private sectors, we all have a role to play in ensuring that the seeds of change can grow and flourish in the San Joaquin Valley." This reminds me so much of so called, "concerned Latinos" who site accomplishments…
