COKIE ROBERTS: This group of people in New York [Standard and Poor’s] is actually talking about more government rather than less government, Congressman. In fact, the reason they like France and Great Britain is because they’re parliamentary systems where the majority gets what it wants no matter what.
And the problem that we have here is the Constitution of the United States of America which actually does require people to come together from different perspectives whether it’s divided government or not. We have divided branches of government under any circumstance.

I first listened to Ms. Roberts on NPR....National Public Radio. What a mistake, I soon quit. She's a 'wolf in sheep's clothing' rabid Progressive that daily puts her own foot in her mouth with her views. Everyone is either too polite or too cowardky to correct or challenge her assine anti- USA views on TV or Radio.

I think Cokie Roberts would like for our children to be little cookie cutter copies... little socialist soldiers but of course this would apply to the children of others, not hers(I have no idea if she has children, grand children, or their ages). Didn't Hitler or the Communist Chinese try this? I guess she has no idea why we have the Constitution or why God did not create us all the same. What happened to diversity that liberals are always talking about? Oh that's right, it's diverse when we all have liberal ideas and it is majority rule when liberals are in control.
